Develop and implement effective pilot selection strategies and processes to ensure the recruitment of top talent for American Airlines. Utilize various recruitment methods, including job fairs, social media, and networking events, to attract qualified candidates. Review and screen pilot applications, resumes, and other materials to identify potential candidates for further consideration. Conduct interviews, both in person and virtually, to assess candidates' skills, experience, and overall fit for the role. Collaborate with various departments, including flight operations and human resources, to understand pilot hiring needs and requirements. Coordinate and participate in assessment centers and other selection activities to evaluate candidates' technical and non-technical skills. Develop and administer pilot selection tests and assessments to evaluate candidates' cognitive, psychomotor, and personality traits. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the pilot selection process. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pilot candidates and their progress in the selection process. Provide timely and constructive feedback to candidates on their performance in selection activities. Collaborate with the training department to ensure successful onboarding and integration of selected pilots into the company. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in pilot selection to continuously improve and enhance the selection process at American Airlines. Represent American Airlines at industry events, conferences, and job fairs to promote the company and attract top talent. Serve as a brand ambassador for American Airlines and promote the company's values and culture throughout the selection process. Contribute to the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure a diverse and inclusive pilot workforce. Provide regular updates to the Pilot Selection team and other stakeholders on the progress and outcomes of the selection process. Assist with other recruitment and selection projects and initiatives as needed. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
