They are seeking a Partnerships Lead for Caramel, focusing on expanding partnerships with independent dealers in the automotive industry. The role involves driving strategic partnerships, evaluating new opportunities, and collaborating with various teams to activate dealer growth.


Responsibilities

  • Expand Caramel/eBay Motors’ reach with independent dealers through trusted relationships across the automotive retail community
  • Evaluate new partner opportunities based on dealer reach, business fit, expected impact, and ability to create qualified opportunities
  • Lead partner conversations from early outreach through negotiation, launch, performance review, and growth
  • Build partner programs that may include referrals, affiliate structures, co-marketing, sponsorships, industry events, training, or reciprocal business development
  • Work with Dealer Services, Dealer Activation, Dealer Account Executives, Marketing, Product, Risk, Finance, and Operations to move partner-sourced opportunities from interest to activation
  • Use performance metrics to identify which channels are effective, where follow-up or conversion could benefit from improvement, and where Caramel/eBay Motors should direct its attention next

Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, channel partnerships, marketplace growth, automotive partnerships, or a related role
  • Knowledge of dealer operations, vehicle marketplaces, auctions, F&I, lending, inventory, floor plan, transaction workflows, or similar industry concepts
  • Experience creating partnerships or channel programs that led to qualified pipeline, customer growth, revenue, transaction volume, inventory growth, or GMV
  • Experience working with automotive or adjacent partners, such as dealer groups, associations, auctions, agencies, software providers, financial services companies, F&I providers, marketplaces, or platform businesses
  • Strong judgment in evaluating partner fit, shaping deal terms, defining shared value, and turning relationships into repeatable business channels
  • Experience using sales, funnel, or partner performance data to evaluate quality, identify gaps, and improve results
