This profile is on Contractual bases, full time & Remote work from India (based in India) and willing to work as per Canadian Time Zone. <ul><li>Role Description </li></ul> IBM Cognos Report DeveloperLocation: [City, Country / Remote / Hybrid]Department: Information Technology – BI & AnalyticsReports to: IT Director / BI & Analytics LeadEmployment Type: Full-time, Contract About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled IBM Cognos Report Developer to design and deliver the enterprise reporting that leadership and operations rely on every day — across Finance, Manufacturing, and Sales.You will build clear, accurate, and performant reports and dashboards in IBM Cognos Analytics, working directly with business stakeholders to turn reporting needs into trusted, self-service-ready outputs. This is a great fit for a developer who takes pride in data accuracy, thoughtful design, and reporting that actually drives decisions.What You'll Do<ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards in IBM Cognos Analytics (Reporting, Dashboards, Data Modules).</li><li>Build and enhance financial reports — P&L, balance sheet, cost, margin, and management reporting across multiple entities and currencies.</li><li>Develop manufacturing / operations reports — production, inventory, yield, quality, batch traceability, and cost reporting.</li><li>Create sales and commercial reports — revenue, orders, pipeline, customer, and product performance analytics.</li><li>Build and maintain metadata models using Framework Manager and/or Data Modules to enable reliable, reusable reporting.</li><li>Write and optimize SQL against underlying data sources (e.g., SAP Business One / HANA, data warehouse, staging layers).</li><li>Partner with Finance, Manufacturing, and Sales stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into clear specifications.</li><li>Ensure data accuracy, tie-outs, performance tuning, and consistent report governance and version control.</li><li>Provide production support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for the reporting environment.</li><li>Support the broader BI roadmap, including integration and alignment with tools such as Power BI where applicable.</li></ul>What You BringRequired<ul><li>8+ years of hands-on IBM Cognos report development experience (Cognos Analytics; Report Studio / Framework Manager background welcome).</li><li>Proven experience building financial, manufacturing, and/or sales reports for business and executive audiences.</li><li>Strong SQL skills and solid data modeling fundamentals.</li><li>Experience with Framework Manager and/or Cognos Data Modules metadata modeling.</li><li>Ability to work directly with business users to gather requirements and deliver accurate, well-designed reports.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and performance optimization.</li></ul>Nice to Have<ul><li>Experience in a manufacturing / process manufacturing environment.</li><li>Exposure to SAP Business One / SAP HANA as a data source.</li><li>Experience with Power BI, IBM Planning Analytics / TM1, or other BI/analytics platforms.</li><li>Understanding of finance and accounting concepts and manufacturing operations metrics.</li><li>IBM Cognos certification.</li></ul>Why Join Us<ul><li>Deliver reporting that senior leadership and operations use to run the business.</li><li>Work across the full breadth of the business — finance, manufacturing, and sales.</li><li>Modern, multi-country enterprise systems landscape with an active BI transformation roadmap.</li><li>Option to convert to full-time based on performance</li></ul>
