In this role, you will analyze, convert, and optimize database objects while assisting with the migration of Microsoft SQL Server environments to PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate has strong SQL development expertise, hands-on migration experience, and a solid understanding of database performance, validation, and modernization best practices.</p> <h1><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h1> <ul> <li> Develop, maintain, and optimize database objects using <strong>Microsoft SQL Server</strong>, <strong>T-SQL</strong>, and <strong>PostgreSQL</strong>. </li> <li> Convert and remediate SQL Server database code for PostgreSQL compatibility. </li> <li> Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views. </li> <li> Perform functional, integration, and performance testing of migrated database objects. </li> <li> Analyze and remediate T-SQL to PostgreSQL syntax differences and compatibility issues. </li> <li> Review and address findings from <strong>AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT)</strong> assessment reports. </li> <li> Validate migrated data and support database migration testing activities. </li> <li> Collaborate with development and project teams to support database modernization and migration initiatives. </li> </ul> <h1><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h1> <ul> <li> <strong>3+ years</strong> of SQL development experience. </li> <li> Strong hands-on experience with: <ul> <li> Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL </li> <li> Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and Views </li> <li> PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL </li> <li> SQL Server to PostgreSQL code conversion and remediation </li> <li> Functional and performance testing of database objects </li> </ul> </li> <li> Familiarity with: <ul> <li> T-SQL to PostgreSQL dialect conversion (e.g., <strong>TOP/LIMIT, ISNULL/COALESCE, GETDATE()/NOW(), temp tables, identity vs. sequences</strong>) </li> <li> AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT) assessment reports and remediation </li> <li> Data validation and migration testing </li> </ul> </li> <li> Experience supporting database modernization or migration projects. </li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li> Experience with <strong>AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS)</strong>. </li> <li> Experience with <strong>SSIS/SSRS</strong> remediation or migration. </li> <li> Experience with <strong>AWS services</strong> and<strong> SQL Serve</strong>r to <strong>PostgreSQL</strong> migration projects. </li> <li> Familiarity with <strong>AWS Glue</strong> and modern ETL migration concepts.</li></ul>
