In this role, you will refactor embedded SQL within .NET applications, modernize data access layers, and enable seamless migration from SQL Server to PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate has strong full-stack .NET development experience, deep knowledge of application-to-database interactions, and expertise in modernizing legacy applications for cloud-ready environments.</p> <h1><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h1> <ul> <li> Develop and maintain enterprise applications using <strong>C#</strong> and <strong>.NET</strong> technologies. </li> <li> Refactor embedded and inline SQL within application code to support PostgreSQL compatibility. </li> <li> Modernize data access layers using <strong>ADO.NET</strong>, <strong>Entity Framework</strong>, and <strong>Dapper</strong>. </li> <li> Migrate SQL Server-based applications and database integrations to PostgreSQL. </li> <li> Convert T-SQL queries and database logic to PostgreSQL-compatible syntax. </li> <li> Update connection strings, credentials, and database access configurations. </li> <li> Perform application testing, debugging, and performance optimization throughout migration efforts. </li> <li> Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality application modernization solutions. </li> </ul> <h1><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h1> <ul> <li> <strong>5+ years</strong> of full-stack <strong>.NET</strong> development experience. </li> <li> Strong hands-on experience with: <ul> <li> C# and .NET application development </li> <li> ADO.NET / System.Data.SqlClient and Npgsql </li> <li> Entity Framework (EF6 and EF Core) </li> <li> Dapper and data access layer development </li> <li> SQL Server and PostgreSQL database integration </li> <li> Refactoring embedded and inline SQL within application code </li> </ul> </li> <li> Experience migrating or converting: <ul> <li> SQL Server-based applications to PostgreSQL </li> <li> Connection strings, credentials, and database access layers </li> <li> T-SQL queries to PostgreSQL-compatible syntax </li> </ul> </li> <li> Strong understanding of application-to-database interactions, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. </li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li> Experience with <strong>.NET Framework</strong> to <strong>.NET Core/.NET 8</strong> modernization projects. </li> <li> Experience with AWS services, including <strong>AWS Secrets Manager</strong> and <strong>AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store</strong>. </li> <li> Experience supporting SQL Server to PostgreSQL migration initiatives. </li> <li> Familiarity with transaction management and distributed system modernization. </li> </ul>
