As our Accounting Manager, you’ll work primarily with our Controllers and offshore team of accountants, assisting B Consulting clients with various accounting and financial operations activities. The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in leading client engagements and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and providing accurate data to support strategic decision-making. In this role, you'll need to manage and lead multiple client projects and communicate with clients to support their requests while also supporting our controllers. What you'll do: Perform a full cycle accounting close<ul><li>Produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements</li><li>Review the offshore team's work</li><li>Lead client calls</li><li>Manage client budgets</li><li>Reconciliations and accrual journal entries</li><li>Update financial models and cash forecasts with actuals</li></ul>Manage accounting activities<ul><li>Accounts Receivable (invoicing, collections)</li><li>Accounts Payable (processing bills, set up vendors)</li><li>Payroll reconciliation</li><li>Sales orders</li><li>Purchase orders</li><li>Inventory (landed costs)</li></ul>Implement and use various software solutions<ul><li>Accounting ERPs (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite)</li><li>Expense management (Expensify, Ramp, Concur, Bill)</li><li>Billing (Ramp, Bill)</li><li>Payroll (Gusto, JustWorks, Trinet, ADP)</li><li>Sales platforms (Shopify, Amazon FBA)</li><li>Merchant service platforms (Stripe, PayPal)</li><li>Inventory software (Cin7, Fishbowl, SOS, and others)</li></ul>Demonstrate a strong accounting background and knowledge of US GAAP<ul><li>Revenue Recognition (ASC606)</li><li>Prepaid and Accrued Expenses</li><li>Deferred Revenue</li><li>Fixed Assets and Depreciation</li><li>Lease Accounting</li><li>Inventory, Manufacturing, Cost Accounting</li></ul>Assist with tax process and maintain compliance with government agencies (working with tax partners)<ul><li>Annual federal income tax returns (C Corp, LLC, S Corp)</li><li>Annual State filings and Franchise Taxes</li><li>Local Business Registrations & Compliance</li><li>Sales and Use Tax</li><li>R&D Tax Credits</li><li>W9/1099</li></ul>What you'll bring:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree required</li><li>Concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred</li><li>7+ years of applicable experience</li><li>Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting theory, principles, and practices</li><li>Big 4 or national public accounting experience a plus</li><li>Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, sum-if formulas, etc.)</li><li>Strong communication skills</li><li>Strong time management skills</li></ul>This is a remote opportunity.
